Baking Bundts with Baby

Step 1 is to choose the right pan.
Step 2 is to push it around the floor to see how durable it is and also to see what kind of noise it makes while doing so.
And now Step 3 is to inspect it and see how much droll it will hold .
THEN BEGIN BAKING!!!

More random picture of my cute babies!!!

So the kids were playing together in Jonas' room, I thought nothing of it b/c they do it all the time but then a little voice yells out to me and says, "Mommy I'm stuck" so I run in to see what she meant and this is what I find. I think she's having an identity crisis. As you can see she has his paci in her mouth and a bib, his socks on her feet and his socks on her hands. The socks on her hands are mittens she said b/c we used to put socks on Jonas' hands when he was little so he wouldn't scratch himself. All I can say to this is, WHAT A SILLY BILLY CRACKER JACK!!

I also like the fact that Jonas is in the first picture looking up at her like, Ummmm what are you doing in my bed??? And in the second picture, though she is being a stinker and I know that she is my little girl, but aren't her eyes just so heart melting? *kiss kiss*

I know by now you ALL know, but Maddie loves to play dress up so here is another picture of her all dressed up like Aurora(Sleeping Beauty). But this is one of my favorites b/c I love the way she posed for the camera. (the foot pose) Oh and it's funny b/c her crown is on backwards but who cares she's still a princess.

Here are a few pictures of Jonas playing with Maddie's Valentines balloon and his little hammer.

Here I'm trying to get him to walk to me but of course he won't. Little CHICKEN BUTT!!!

He's not really pointing in this picture but he does point at everything and mumbles something that sounds like "what's that?" It's cute!!

Here's a few pics of the kids from this past Sunday. They are having fun playing with these new baskets that we got.
She wouldn't smile for anything in these pictures but at least I got some kind of reaction in the second picture, though it wasn't the reaction I wanted. (Her famous silly face)

I might not have gotten any good ones of Maddie but I did luck up and get at least 3 good ones of Jonas. These two here I liked and the other pic I posted in the blog about Jonas turning one so make sure to see that picture on that blog. In the first picture I actually did get him to stand for me but nuh-huh, no walking. And see there in the second picture! That's the smile that makes me melt. I love love love that picture!!!!!!

Well I don't have too many of these but here is one (crappy one) of me and the kids. Maddie likes it when I carry/hold them both and she always says " Mommy has TWO BABIES" so here I am with my TWO BABIES!!! My two precious babies.

Here are just some random shots of Maddie.
She doesn't smile much for the camera so I just take, take take, hoping to get a good one. The first one wasn't so bad then I caught her in the second one doing raspberries and then of course another goofy picture of Maddie in the last one. But I did show her this one after I took it and she laughed and laughed, a good belly laugh. She is so silly!!!

Play Time with Joey and Bug!!

Some pics of the kids playing around.

Here's Maddie teaching Jonas how to make this toy work.

The kids playing together in Jonas' room. Or maybe they are fighting b/c this is actually Jonas' bike that Maddie is riding on.

Jonas and Maddie dancing with each other. How cute!!!

The kids have found a new hiding place. How funny is that!! A prime example of "Monkey See, Monkey Do" LOL

Maddie is a Big Kid Now

In Madison's words, "I a big gull (girl)now, I go to skool!!!

And so she is. She's a whole whopping 2 1/2 these days. But boy does she think she's 16. Does that mean we are in trouble when she IS 16? Ohhhh I don't want to think about that, it gives me bad chills. LOL Well she is a big girl now and she is in pre-school. She goes Tues and Thurs from 9-12. She really likes it. And do you know how I know? Well b/c on Sundays she usually asks for me to stay 2 mins and she hasn't asked for that yet. She just goes in and starts playing. And when I go to pick her up, she isn't ready to leave. (it's kind of embarrassing too) But I'm glad that she enjoys it. It's great for all of us. Well I took a few pics of her on her first day of school and then this morning I took a few of her in her classroom. So here they are:

Madison's ready for school.

One with a smile!

This is what she did after her first day of school while I fixed her lunch. BTW this never happens!!
The dogs took advanage of this rare situation too.

This is the reenergized Madison after her nap. This is also one of her new favorite things to do...COLOR!!!! She's learned how to stay in the lines too, well almost. ;o)

Here she is being her normal CRAZZZY self.

Hard at work on her Beauty and the Beast picture.

Another picture of my silly girl (with my lil boy playing in the background.)

Here are the pictures of her at school today.

The first thing that she wanted to do was to show me that this baby talks.

Here she is playing with a little doll house that she likes.

Here she is sitting by her friend getting ready for craft time.

Last picture as I"m saying good-bye.

Time has flown by

It's only 2 weeks until Jonas turns ONE!!!!

I can't believe that it's even time to post something like this but it is. It seems as if it should only be 6 months that has past but it's been almost a whole year. What a wonderful little boy I have. He is sooo sweet. He loves to give hugs and it just makes me melt. He is smiley and flirty. He loves to be cuddled but he's also good at just hanging out in his room and playing with his toys (or Maddie's room). I know that all mothers feel this way but can't put into words of just how much I love my baby boy. I don't even want to think about what it will be like to send my little boy (no matter how big) off to school or mission or heaven forbid, MARRIAGE!! LOL It will break my heart. I know it may sound like I love him more than Madison but it's just different. There's just something about my little boy. I suppose that it's what Jason feels about his little girl.

You know I never thought that it would be like this. I was totally not happy to find out that I was pregnant a month after Madison had turned 1. I felt like I just had a baby, just like I feel now with Jonas, how it doesn't feel like a year. I mean she was still just a baby and there I was getting ready to do this all over again. BUT boy am I glad now!!! I can't believe that I wasn't happy about this little person coming into our family. I can't and don't want to think about what life would be like without him. Sometimes I look at him and think about those times and feel so evil for ever thinking that way. Though things weren't all hunky-dorie at first. It was hard trying to comfort a colicky baby that just wouldn't stop crying. And I just want to give a shout out to Jason's parents and mine too b/c we were both colicky and so I just want to say THANK YOU for NOT KILLING US!! LOL No but seriously, it's rough!! But we made through those times and now here we are with the first milestone of birthdays.

Well I guess I'll end by saying, Jonas, Mommy loves you with all her heart!! You are a very special little boy. I'm glad you are mine.

And I'll dedicate this to all the mothers out there who just aren't ready for there little ones to grow up, however old they may be.

Funny things from my 2 yr old

This is what she said after I asked her why she was naked.
"Cus I have to dance in my nakey!" And she did. "

Madison you need to calm down, you are acting crazy.
"That's not fun, Mom."

"Mommy wake up, it's 16 o'clock."

This was said after I told her that she was being mean and ugly to Jonas.
"Mommy I not ugly, I beautiful like a princess. "

I love being a mom, though at times I get frustrated but these are the things that bring laughter in your life, don't you agree? I love my little girl!!!

Help!!! Does anyone have...?

I'm looking for a Mickey Mouse cake pan. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know. I have looked at the Michael's here and called the one in Fayetteville but they don't carry it. I've looked on ebay but they are pricey and for just one cake I don't want to spend that much so if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it. I just might have to wing it myself, but at least I think that Mickey wouldn't be too hard.

On the blog again, just can't wait to get on the blog again

Well there's been lots going on around here, too much to catch you up on but I'll see what I can remember at the moment.

Well Jonas is almost 11 months and though he doesn't say any words yet, he does recognize some. Of course he knows what MILK is, it's his favorite word of all but he also knows Ball, dog, book, up, nose, Sissy(which is Maddie), snacks, cup, DaDa and that's all that I can think of right now. He learning to stand on his own but still isn't so confident in doing so. Oh I remembered another word that he knows...Mickey Mouse. He likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the mornings with Maddie and he has a Mickey doll and loves it. So if you ask where's Mickey he'll look around for it. And he's just learning to point at things, like if you have a book with a picture of a dog and ask him where the dog is, he'll point to the doggie now.
Jonas also has something new...3 MORE Teeth!! He has 2 more on top and one on the bottom and the other tooth on the bottom is working it's way in. You know I have heard some people say how they love little babies teethy smile but I never really thought it was cute. Like with Maddie I didn't think it was cute with all the gaps everywhere but now I see it's cuteness with Jonas. Maybe it's just cuter for a little boy to give you a gapped toothy smile than for a little girl, either way, Jonas is cute.

In my last blog which was about Jonas' dr appt, I had mentioned that Jonas has to wear an eye patch for 30 mins a day and maybe just b/c I'm his mom but I have never seen such a cute kid with an eye patch and so that you can see here are some pics of him with it on...
(sorry this picture is a little blurry)
Maddie says that Jonas is a pirate b/c he wears a patch so here is Maddie pretending to be one too.

Let's see what else... Hmmmmm...

Well Maddie is the same funny, crazy, full of energy little girl as usual. She is learning new words and it's funny to hear how she uses them. She has learned to ride her tricycle which is fun. Her favorite things to play with are 2 of her gifts that Santa brought her and that is her princess dress up things and her castle. All day she gets her little princess dolls and plays with them and her castle. Her is a picture of her play with them.

As a lot of you know, Maddie LOVES books. Well one day Maddie was in her room and she was being very quite and usually this isn't a good sign if you know what I mean. So I went to check on her and this is what I found...

Maddie and her bud, Boomer, just hanging out together and reading books.
But then quickly Maddie bounced back to the silly willy little girl that she is.

Well it is nearly 11pm so I'm going hit the hay so that I'm not a grumpy and mean mommy tomorrow to my 2 darling kids but there'll be more blogging tomorrow with pics from christmas and the snow days and whatever else I find to talk about. So see ya tomorrow Folks!!!
Nighty-night

Jonas' Dr Appt

Yesterday was Jonas' Appt at Duke Eye Center for his ptosis problem. We got up a little earlier than usual and got the kids ready and headed over to a friends house to drop Maddie off. She got to play with her friend, Brody from Nursery. We dropped her off around 745am and then headed to Durham. It was about an hour and 45 min drive. Our appt was at 10. Surprisingly, we got there and we were called back into the room within like 5-10 mins. The doctor checked a few things, asked some questions, and then dilated him and we were back into the waiting room in like 10, maybe 15 mins. We had to wait like 20 mins for his eyes to fully dilate but we were called back again right away. While she was checking him, she discusses with us her findings which were that she believes that his "lid lag" is improving and it isn't harming anything so surgery at this time isn't even a question. During this check, she notices that when he looks up his right eye pulls out to the side, called a slight strabismus. Because of this and it being so minor, she would like for us to patch his eye only 30 mins a day. We will need to go back in April for her to check up on the progress of this but other than that, that was it. Jonas did really well, as usual he was happy and smiling at everyone.
So we came back home and picked Maddie up. She had a lot of fun at Brody's house. He has a swing set and she got to go outside and play on that since it was such a nice warm day(70 degrees). And she must have played hard b/c she fell asleep on the way home and it's only like 10 mins away.
So the morning went well but our afternoon and the whole rest of the day and night wasn't anything like that. We still have NOOOOO idea what was wrong but Jonas cried the whole time and I'm not exaggerating, it was the WHOLE day. He was tired so we'd try to put him to sleep but he was just so...IDK not happy that he couldn't sleep especially if you'd try to lay him down in his bed, maybe like a 15-20 mins nap. We'd feed him and he'd eat a little but then he just start pushing it out of his mouth and cry. He just cried and cried and cried. We didn't know what was wrong or what to do. So then bed time came but by this time Jason and I wanted to SHOOT OURSELVES!!! But we got him ready for bed and he did good. He fell asleep very fast and then he was fine when I laid him down, this was at 8pm. He started whining at like 845 and then again and then again. In a 3 hour time period, he woke up 4 times. Some of those times he only cried for a bit and went back to sleep on his own. But at 11pm, there was no soothing himself back to sleep, he just kept crying. Finally, Jason took him into our bed and laid Jonas on top of his chest and they went to sleep. Then when I came to bed, Jason said that he couldn't sleep like that anymore, it was uncomfortable, so I tried to take him and of course...HE WOKE UP!!! You seriously didn't even want to breath b/c you were scared that it would wake him up. I couldn't get him back to sleep so Jason took him again and got him back to sleep but eventually I took him and he slept in my arms all night. But I'm not so sure just how much sleep Jason and I got. We are like ZOMBIES this morning. I think I just might fall over. Luckily, when he woke up this morning he was better. He was happy and talking to me while I was trying to act like I was asleep. But just knowing that he is happy again, gives me the strength to get up and go about my day. I'm just glad that he is my good little boy again.

Music to my ears!!!

Yep, Jonas finally says Ma-Ma and Da-Da. Of course he says Da-Da more. He even plays games with me. I tell him to say Ma-Ma and he just looks at me and grins and says "Da-Da", that little Stinker. But at least he is finally saying something. Maddie was talking at 6 months so we've been wondering when Jonas would start saying something besides "hmm" and "ahhh". But I guess when you have a big sister that talks for the both of you, it isn't really a priority. Either way, hearing him say "Ma-Ma" (actually like mumm-mumm) and even Da-Da really is music to my ears.

Where has the time gone???

9 MONTHS ALREADY

I can't believe that my little baby boy is 9 months today. Happy 9 month Birthday, Jonas!!!! He is such a sweet little boy. He gives the best hugs. And when he smiles at you, your heart just turns to mush. I can't imagine not having him in our family. I'm so thankful that our Heavenly Father blessed us with him, even though at one time I thought "But I'm not ready for another one yet." I guess someone else knows best. Well just 3 more months and we'll be celebrating another 1st birthday though it seems not so long ago that it was Maddie's. Where has the time gone? I'm not ready for Jonas to grow up. I'm not ready for another toddler zooming into trouble twos. Maybe Jonas will give me a break, but either way, HE IS MY LITTLE BOY. I wouldn't love him any more or any less, he has already stolen my heart. I love you, Joey!!!!

Gooble, Gooble, Gooble!!!

I know it's a little late now but I wanted to post some pictures of the pumpkin I carved for Thanksgiving. I thought it was pretty cute and I had never carved a pumpkin for Thanksgiving. When we bought our pumpkins before Halloween, we bought 4, one for each of us but we only ended up carving two for the kids and left 2 for decor. But as we were packing up all the halloween stuff, I saw a picture of a turkey in one of those books so I thought I'd give it a try. So here are some pictures of the kids and the pumpkin.

I'm down with the Faux Hawk

This morning, Jason was getting ready for school and when he went to style his hair, he felt like doing something a little wild and well...different. He walks out of the bathroom and says, "I'm wearing my hair like this to school today." Well I laughed at first but then after I looked at it, I really liked it. It was different and pretty hot in my opinion. So here's Jason's faux hawk...

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!!!

Not me, Silly. Jonas!!! I hope that's what he was wanting b/c that's what he got. He now has his two front teeth plus the bottom two that he has had. He's so cute with his little choppers. I do love toothless, gummy baby smiles but gappy baby smiles are cute too, esp when their your babies. He has been missing out of some foods that at this age Madison had been eating b/c she had already sprouted those teeth. So now he'll get to experience some new foods. I got a picture of Joey giggling at Maddie today while he was eating. So sorry he's little messy, but it's a cute picture and you can see his little teefies shining. Isn't he cute?? Check it out!!

Who says you can't...??

So my two year old doesn't quite understand that you can't wear swimsuits in the WINTER. I told her, "Sweetie, you can't wear your swimsuit, it's to cold to go swimming." And she looks at me and says, "but I'm pretending to go swimming. it's not to cold to pretend." So who says you can't pretend?? I'd love to pretend it's 90 degrees outside and I'm sitting in the sun, sipping on a strawberry banana smoothie maybe even getting a nice back massage. See, who says you can't pretend?? So now here are some pictures of Maddie "pretending" in her swim suit.

Here's Maddie putting on my shoes. I really hope that this isn't anything to worry about. You know, swimsuit and high heels. LOL

Maddie shaking her booty.

Still dancing but this time twirling around in circles.

In this one, she's pretending to surf. See her surf board? What an imagination!!

Another that I'm worried about! Shopping in a swimsuit. LOL
